Waste was found in the Bayou Sauvage Urban National Wildlife Refuge in New Orleans, which requires removal and remediation to prevent the entry and spread of potential invasive APHIS-regulated plant pests and pathogens into the surrounding environment and agriculture. Currently, APHIS holds a temporary lease of the property.
